一口天ぷら鍋ー南部鉄器ー

これからぼちぼちですが毎日のお弁当づくりを支えてくれている
キッチンツールを紹介していきたいと思います。
まずは天ぷら鍋。
これを買ってお弁当の揚げ物の登場回数が増えました。
直径14 cmと小さいのでちょこっと揚げ物をする時に重宝してます。
温度計がついてないので天ぷらの衣がある時はいいのですが、
素揚げなんかの時には素人の私では適温が見極めきれず、別に箸型の温度計を買いました。こちらはまた後ほど紹介します。
この天ぷら鍋、安定感もありますし、分厚い鉄の保温力でおいしくあがるのですが
注ぎ口がないので油をオイルポットにうつす時につたれるのが難点です。

Nanbu iron mini tempura pot

I will introduce my small tempura pot.
I didn't make tempura in the morinig frequently because making tempura is usually time
consuming for heating, cooling, and filtering oil.
The size of this pot is just 14 cm(diameter).
This small size enables me to cook tempra qickly.
After I got this pot, I have frequently made tempura as a side dish of box lunch.
It is useful for little vplume of ingredients.
But the pot isn't equipt with a thermometer and I can' t find proper temperature for deep fry.
You may know that the temperature is very important for tempura cooking.
Therefore, I got a chopstick-type thermometer which will be introduced near future.
This pot is made by iron and it is very thick.
Therefore, this pot is heavy even though it is small.
The thick iron keeps the oil temperature and makes tempura better tast.
One complaint of this pot is that it doesn't have a mouthpiece.
I often spill the oil when I try to transfer the oil from this pot to an oil container.
